Hi afsana,

That's a good question, but without a good answer. About the best solution is to have good security on your computer, and to always follow good surfing practices. Then you won't need to worry so much about whom to trust.

Regards,
Syd

Hi, Syd. I noticed your statement, "There is no automatic update feature in Java."

For my home PC, I get a prompt from time to time on the taskbar at lower right, notifying me that a java update is available. I usually just run them without even thinking about it, but this time I wondered if it might reset or overwrite some of my other "trusted" update providers, such as Apple I-Tunes, Windows Media Player, etc. They all want me to install their latest updates, and yet they all want to become the default player for various kinds of media files. Hard to know whom to trust!

Anyway, I would appreciate any advice you have. Thanks!
